Margaret (Margie) Allison has served the Short Term Insurance Industry for over 40 years having worked in all aspects of the business. She has worked for an insurance company and built her experience in Underwriting and Reinsurance for 7 years. Since then, she has worked for both medium and large corporate insurance broking firms gaining further knowledge as an Intermediary and Accounts Executive – dealing directly with clients.

 

Finally, with wings to fly, she left Glenrand MIB in 1993 to start her own business and has never looked back.

After several acquisitions of smaller broking firms and merging with Yourinsurance Brokers, in 2008 owned by a London-based Lloyds Syndicate and Business Entrepreneurs, the business has grown successfully over the years.

She managed to steer her ship from a telesales focus to a service-oriented philosophy which is the preferred focus of providing a personal service and close relationships with her clients.

 

She achieved her Insurance Qualification of ACII (British) by examination in 2004 which was later converted to the SA equivalent (ASII) to comply with local FSB requirements under FAIS.

Lauren Anderson, and was brought on as a Director of YiB in 2018. She believes that insurance is not just a product, but rather a relationship between YiB and their clients. 

Lauren has worked in the Industry for more than 15 years, 10 of those alongside Margie.  She is passionate about life in general and believe that happiness is about living intentionally.

 

Both Margie and Lauren areRepresentatives Key Individual and Representative under the Financial Services Provider license for Yourinsurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd and have successfully completed the required RE1 and Key Persons examinations.

 

Yourinsurance Brokers prefer to specialise in niche products and enjoy strong relationships with clients and insurers.
